Early Morning Workout: Plyometrics (P90X)


...and you definitely do so when doing P90X. :)

This morning I got up early to get my workout in, as I have some plans scheduled during the time I usually workout. Brilliant, eh? --I'll have to workout earlier, more often...You feel so much more refreshed. ;)

I'm on week two of my P90X challenge, and today's scheduled workout was Plyometrics. --I would say that this particular workout is one of most challenging/intense workouts provided by P90X.
Plyometrics are drills designed to connect strength with speed to produce power, and said drills have been shown to improve overall athleticism -- it boosts one’s explosive power, speed, cardiovascular health, flexibility, balance, and stamina. So it’s pretty awesome that P90X devotes an hour to jump-training. :))

So, as I'm preparing for running a 10K/running in general (and it's scheduled in the workout routine) I'll be completing Plyo every Tuesday. Yes, every Tuesday. :) Wish me luck!
